Magnolia
There are at least sixty Magnolia trees in my neighborhood! (I counted them)! I'm guessing they were planted by the original home owners, as they are all rather mature. It could be too, that they grew quite naturally as I see them growing wild along country roadsides ... (I'm really quite surprised they aren't South Carolina's state flower!
It's blooms create vast amounts of pollen as evidenced by yellow cars and driveways in the springtime. Birds have a field day when the flowers are finished and.the seedpod produces pretty yummy looking RED seeds!
